Oshkosh Air Show Offers Opportunity to Show Our Stuff

News & Happenings

While hundreds of thousands enjoyed themselves at the 54th annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, some of our dedicated Security Officers and staff members were busy educating attendees in Oshkosh, Wis., on numerous agency programs.

One of our Security Officers shows an air show visitor how we perform security screening.Billed as "The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration," we took the opportunity to provide information on general aviation initiatives and our flight school training program, while providing honorary security awareness certification.

Our general aviation program directors Celio Young and Mike West were on hand to answer questions and show the 700,000 aviation fans what we do in the arena of general aviation, or "GA."

"We were pleased to spend a week interfacing with the flying public," West said. "We are already looking forward to participating in AirVenture07."

At the same time, Security Officers from nearby airports in Green Bay, Appleton, and Milwaukee provided a display case of the various prohibited items surrendered by air travelers, provided travel tips and answered general questions.
