It was not a needle in the haystack, but close. TSO Stanley Gowisnok discovered a loaded homemade .22-caliber handgun in a passenger's bag while operating an X-ray machine at Chicago's Midway Airport. Police responded and arrested the passenger, who was charged with attempting to board an aircraft with a weapon. “This was a tough one to spot on X-ray, and a great testimony to the professionalism of our TSOs,” said FSD Dereck Starks.
