Submit Your Ideas
We are interested in your innovative technology and security ideas, products and services. Submitting your ideas is not a mechanism for submitting a response to a Request For Proposal (RFP), Request For Information (RFI), Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), Unsolicited Proposal, or other type of formal procurement action. Commercially available off-the-shelf type products should be directed to our general acquisitions process unless they are to be used in a novel way or with a novel system.
We will review and respond to each submission. Our technical staff will contact you if we would need additional information or wish to discuss your ideas further. To save your time and ours, we schedule meetings only when our initial assessment reveals that a meeting is in the best interest of the Government.
The process begins with the submission of a web submission form, which will collect basic information about the submitter and information about the product, service, or idea. You will need to categorize your proposal as one of several areas of interest. Finally the web allows you to upload related documents such as Microsoft Word PowerPoint and PDF files. Once you submit the form, you will receive a confirmation message including an assigned tracking number. You will also be provided with a mailing address for mailing hard copy materials if needed.
The review process will begin when all materials have been received. The submission will be reviewed by a subject matter expert from our technical staff or program team for its relevance to current and projected needs and priorities. Of course you are welcome to address any of the areas of interest regardless of the priority. To ensure you have the best possible chance at success, please read about our current areas of interest.
Every effort will be made to complete a review within 30 working days from the date all materials (including hard copy documents) are received by TSA. During the review process review team members may contact the submitter for additional information. Once the review has been completed the submitter will be notified of the results via email.
If the review determines that a similar service or product is needed and of value to us a contracting officer will begin the procurement process. Otherwise no contract or business agreement is expected to result from submitting a technology idea to TSA.
