Registered Traveler

The Transportation Security Administration has released the Service Provider Initial Participation Requirements and Application Process. This document contains the application form prospective Service Providers must submit to participate in Registered Traveler (RT). It also outlines the initial requirements prospective Service Providers must meet to participate in the RT program.

TSA will use the information submitted by a prospective Service Provider and the evaluation criteria described in the Service Provider Initial Participation Requirements and Application Process document to make an initial determination of a prospective Service Provider's eligibility to participate in the RT program. The Service Provider participation analysis includes a broad range of commercial and federal standards that will allow TSA to examine a prospective Service Provider's viability and potential transportation security risk.

Security, Privacy and Compliance Standards

The Security, Privacy and Compliance Standards for Sponsoring Entities and Service Providers documents provides prospective Sponsoring Entities and Service Providers a comprehensive description of TSA's standards for the following:

• RT Information Systems: Standards for securing information systems transmitting and or holding RT participant data.
• Enrollment/ Verification: Process-specific standards for establishing internal controls over participant enrollment and verification.
• Ongoing Compliance: Detailed procedures for demonstrating compliance with the standards.
